Concept & Design
Concepted and designed by Maison Bonhomme, GoodFunk West Town’s interiors are inspired by the charm of Art Deco, bringing the classic neighborhood bar into the contemporary with a touch of artistry and panache.
The main bar was created by combining a tiled front counter from Paris (circa 1920) with a brass bar counter and multi-tiered brass shelves fabricated by Chicago’s Wayward Machine Co. Twenty restored cast iron “teardrop” Chicago streetlights were flipped upside down and hung throughout the cozy space. Finally, plush velvet sofas in jade complement custom teak bar stools designed by Maison Bonhomme and made in Nicaragua.
Dishes designed to complement natural wines, featuring ingredients with pickling, smoking, and curing for that extra funk.
